Tabletop Shuffleboard Is Engaging For All Ages
Your finger is the tang, the biscuit has roller-bearings, but it’s still shuffleboard! The solid wood frame construction means it will last a long, long time. Enjoy this Tabletop Shuffleboard game year round from the comfort of your own home or backyard picnic table. Adult couples and parents could pair the game with a bottle of wine and enjoy a nice quiet evening with each other and off mobile devices.
There are several different types of games played on the shuffleboard table: Knock off, horse collar, crazy eights, and Maze. The most popular and commonly played game in tournaments is “knock off”. This game can be played with 2 people or two teams of two people, singles or doubles. A player from each team will play at the opposite end of the board the entire game. To win, a team must be the first team to score 15 points. One team is red and the other is blue and they alternate shots each frame. Whichever team scores points goes first the next frame. Points are scored by being farther down the table past their opponent. Scoring zones of 1, 2, 3, and weights hanging off the back edge or “hangers” 4 points are used to calculate a score.
