Clarence Ruth (b. 1981, New York) is a multidisciplinary artist working across visual art, fashion design, and illustration. After earning a degree in Fashion Design, he founded Cotte D’Armes, a luxury ready-to-wear brand examining military iconography, urban culture, and individual rebellion through material and form. His work has been featured at institutions including the Polk Museum of Art, the African Museum of Art, and galleries such as Casterline Goodman and Krause Gallery.
Ruth is also the author-illustrator of Colors de la Runway and Num8ers de la Runway, with work carried by MoMA Design Store, MoMA PS1, Hauser & Wirth LA, and the High Museum of Art. He has presented solo exhibitions and participated in international fairs including Art Central Hong Kong and Frieze/KIAF.
